
In addition to the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. National Scholarship Program,
the George S. "Spanky" Roberts Chapter sponsors a Local Educational
Assistance Program that is available to graduating high school students
in the general Sacramento area. Applicants must complete all high school
requirements by July of the year of the award, must have a GPA of 2.5
or better on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent). Additional consideration
is given for students participation in academic, social, civic, athletic
and leadership activities. Additional consideration is given to students
interested in the aerospace and widely related areas. Student must be
planning for entrance into a University or College following graduation.
Applications are available from the Chapter Scholarship Chairman, and
Committee and Chapter members as well. Applications are also
available by clicking on the links below. Applications must
be mailed to the Scholarship Chairman on or before the date posted on
the application. Final selections will be made by the Scholarship Committee
and applicants will be notified of the results.
The George S. "Spanky" Roberts Chapter has awarded locally over $120,000.00
to 150+ students from 1980 to 2009.
